Norwich Cathedral Sleep Out Raises £1,000 to Tackle Youth Homelessness
Mel Jackson and Tasha Earl from TP Fire & Security spent a night sleeping outside in the cloisters of Norwich Cathedral to raise funds and awareness to end youth homelessness. The Sleep Out event was organised by The Benjamin Foundation, a charity dedicated to supporting vulnerable young people, families, and adults.
Money raised from the campaign goes directly to young people using the foundation’s housing services, helping them access safe accommodation, achieve personal goals, and explore new opportunities. By participating in the sleep out, Mel and Tasha sought to shine a light on the challenges faced by those living without stable housing.
"Sleeping out in the cathedral cloisters really made us realise, even to a small extent, what those who experience homelessness face every night. It’s a stark reminder of the challenges so many young people endure, and I’m thrilled that we were able to reach our £1,000 target to support the Benjamin Foundation’s incredible work."

The event not only raised essential funds but also fostered community awareness of youth homelessness in Norwich. Organisers hope experiences like this will inspire others to get involved, helping more young people access the guidance, housing, and opportunities they need to rebuild their lives.
